Volunteer opportunities with the Bard on Bower include:

Marketing- this can be as simple as distributing posters and handbills for the festival, or if you know a company or individual who might be interested in becoming a sponsor- or simply have a knack for broaching the subject with businesses we can provide you with sponsor packages to distribute.

Front of House- this means helping set up the tents and umbrellas for the audience 90 minutes before showtime, then manning the donation tent. You offer people umbrellas and tarps and accept donations before the show. You can watch the show from this tent and do a tally of the audience numbers and the amount received in donations. After the show you receive tarps and umbrellas back and help pack up the donation tent.

Costuming/Sewing- if you would like a casual involvement with costuming, our designers need people who can take on some sewing projects which could be simple alterations or could include creating specific pieces if that interests you.

Set Construction- if you are comfortable with a screw gun or a paint brush we need people to help build set pieces and props starting several weeks before the shows open, and help installing the set at Bower Ponds in early July. We take everything down and out of Bower Ponds on the last Sunday in July.
